FST | Family Systems Trauma Certification

Post-Advanced Training Course consultation to master application of FST Techniques.

Certification Pre-Requisites

Participants must have a Master's Degree or higher and completed FST Advanced Training.  The FST Certification process requires participants to use FST work with actual family cases (with no identifiable information).

Application of FST Techniques

Step into a therapy sessions with confidence and step-by-step tools to do family therapy with the confidence of practiced application reviewed by an FST Consultant.

What is FST Certification?

✔ Applied learning of FST advanced training skills to your family cases through all 5 Phases of the FST model:

  • Phase I – Diagnosis and Assessment
  • Phase II – Trauma Work Introduction
  • Phase III – Co-Create Trauma Playbooks
  • Phase IV – Troubleshooting and Dress Rehearsals
  • Phase V – Evaluate Progress and Relapse Prevention

✔ Grow in confidence as you submit and present application of the FST techniques each month using your own case family within a small group of FST students and FST Consultant.

✔ Expert consultation with application feedback from an FST Consultant virtually 2 hours per month for 5 consecutive months.

✔Annual 3-hour Recertification Booster at end of each year to retain and sharpen skills.

for next FST Cohort beginning in March 2021.

  • Present your FST application with a real case each month in each small group consultation session.
  • Receive an FST Certified digital seal to identify yourself as an FST Certified therapist.
  • Be listed with the Family Trauma Institute as an FST Certified Therapist.
  • Eligible to interview to become an FST Paid Consultant.
